Those bigass are tracks spread the weaght out same purpose as why a water bed can be set up in a second story bed room it puts down less weight then a person standing with their feet together standing with your feet together you exert your entire body weight in a 1 square foot area so you put down more Force per square foot than the bed does even though it weighs 10 times as much as you do

Actually, if you guys get a 2096 as your second cart, and you add another semi with the tri-axle trailer, it would work out really well in the mornings. The 2096 could fill your 2 two-axle trailers, and the 2596 could fill the two tri-axle trailers. 4 trucks out the field straight in the morning - in less than 10 minutes, easily ;)

I have a 1350 bu cart on tracks pulled with a 300 hp tractor on tracks. I don’t mean to sound like a hater but I can’t imagine why any operation would need a cart so big.

Hello guys, First off, I really like your videos so definitely keep it up! Hoping for the best for Nicole right now. When you talked about the compaction though, I have to disagree to a certain extent with the sales rep. After all, his job is to sell equipment and not to be soil scientist. The 16psi number that he gave you isn't (entirely) correct. Mathematically his logic checks out, but that is assuming that the entire weight of the grain cart is distributed evenly across the tracks, which it isn't. All of the weight is applied to tracks via the 2 main drive weels at either ends of the tracks and the bogey wheels in between (the loose track between doesn't carry much weight). Pressure on the soil under these wheels can spike immensely, still causing a lot of compaction. The reason the cart floats so well and doesn't get bogged down is one of the advantages of tracks, and also the reason it's used on tanks: in wet conditions, the drive- and bogey wheels will sink in slightly, causing the loose bits of track in between these to come under tension, which in turn causes these bits of track to carry more and more as the bogey wheels sink in further. These two effects of the bogey wheels sinking in and the loose bits of track coming under tension counteract each other, making your cart or anything else with tracks float better. I hope you understand my reasoning and I would love to know what you guys think! Thanks!
